Dolce Vita
Food Tour
The first Food Tour of its kind in Rome
Experience La Dolce Vita,
the essence of Italy’s charm
What does la dolce vita mean? It’s a lifestyle, the quintessential Italian existence of beauty and indulgence.
In other words, the good life.
It’s only natural, then, that Eatalian’s most popular tour be named Dolce Vita, and be a discovery of the same area of Rome that brought this classic phrase to life- Via Veneto.
In the 50s and 60s, Via Veneto was the most luxurious and scandalous street in Rome. Fellini’s classic film, La Dolce Vita, was set in this exact area, and it subsequently became the place to see and be seen. Stars like Audrey Hepburn and Coco Chanel called the many luxury hotels in this area home, and it was seen as the place to sip your refreshing spritz and take in the undeniable beauty of the city (for more about the infamous Via Veneto and La Dolce Vita history, read our blog here).
While we can’t promise Audrey and Coco to join us along the tour, we can promise an insider’s look at what la dolce vita meant to Italians yesterday, and what it means today, and tomorrow.
Our unique Dolce Vita tour is the first of its kind in Rome , and here you will discover historic (like from the 1800’s!) cafe’s, cheese shops, dishes, wine cellars, and lifestyles that were born during the cherished Fellini era, and have managed to keep that special Italian essence alive throughout the years.
